Calhoun County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm a person's current custody, confirm a release, release anyone, post bond, or pull official booking records. Only the agency that owns the record can provide an authoritative answer.

Where Calhoun Records Are Held

Choose the office by the kind of record involved. The sheriff and jail handle local intake and custody, municipal police handle their own incident reports, the clerk tracks later court activity, and state or federal agencies handle different custody populations.

No posted local records hours, sheriff-specific open-records form, local records email, or booking-photo fee schedule was found. The sheriff's general contact form can be used to ask who receives a request, but it is not labeled as an Open Records Act portal. Georgia's statewide framework generally calls for an initial response within three business days, allows the first 15 minutes of staff time without a labor charge, and sets ordinary paper copies at no more than $0.25 per page. Those are state-law rules and ceilings, not a promise that Calhoun County will finish a request on that schedule or charge a particular amount. Ask for an estimate and electronic delivery when possible.

The statewide framework also allows a custodian to withhold exempt material, redact protected portions, or explain that no responsive record exists. A request should identify a named person, approximate date, arresting agency, and the existing booking sheet or photograph sought. The sheriff does not have to create a new compilation simply because a question would be easier to answer in a spreadsheet.

Use these routes when the record belongs to a different office:

  • For a current custody question, call the Calhoun County Jail. For a retained booking record or existing photograph, start with the sheriff's office and the Calhoun County records hub.
  • For a possible warrant, use the sheriff's office and the Wanted Fugitives page for the official check path. Calhoun County has no verified online warrant portal.
  • For local event coverage, the Arrest News page links the current Calhoun County news sources. A news story is not a substitute for the booking record or court disposition.
  • For a release notification, check Georgia VINE where the system confirms coverage. It is a custody-status service, not a booking-photo source.
  • For an incident or arrest report from Morgan, contact Morgan Police at 54 Court Street, Morgan, GA 39866, (229) 849-4045. For Edison, contact Edison Police through P.O. Box 628, Edison, GA 39846, (229) 835-2323. For Arlington, contact Arlington Police at 567 Pioneer Road NE, Arlington, GA 39813, (229) 725-4211, or the city clerk at (229) 725-4276.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use GDC Find an Offender. If an existing GDC record is needed, use the GDC Open Records Request page. GDC is separate from the county jail.
  • For federal sentenced or designated custody, use the BOP Inmate Locator. For current immigration detention or a recent ICE release, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator. Neither locator is a county mugshot service.
